P.S. 199 - Remote Learning on January 26, 2026 ❄️

Given the expected forecast, all NYC Public Schools will pivot to remote learning on January 26, 2026. Students are expected to log on and participate in their classes from home, following a regular Monday schedule.

 
1. Make sure your child can access Google Classroom
  1. Families can use the Google Classroom app on any smartphone or tablet, which is free to download from the Apple Store/Google Play.
  2. Families can also use the web version on any laptop or desktop computer by going to http://classroom.google.com
  3. Family guides to Google Classroom can be found on the NYC Public School Page linked here.
  4. Students can log in through Teachhub following the steps “How to Access Google Classroom."
2. Make sure you know your child's @nycstudents.net email address and password
  1. If you need to reset your child's password, you can do so using your NYCSA account.
  2. If you do not have a NYCSA account, you can email your child's teacher to request a password reset.

3. Remote Learning Schedule and Attendance

  1. Students will follow their regular Monday school day schedule, including special classes such as gym, dance, and science.
  2. Students must be present for synchronous instruction in order to be marked present for the day.
