Mission and Vision

The P.S. 199Q community seeks to create a safe and supportive environment where ALL children are empowered to become lifelong learners.

P.S. 199Q’s mission is to provide our students with a well-rounded rigorous education that nurtures the development of the whole child through increased emphasis on creativity and innovation through the Arts and STEM.  In developing strong home-school connections, we will meet academic and social-emotional needs, while building solid foundations that develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

PStrengthen instructional leadership and build teacher capacity through professional learning, collaboration, and data-driven instruction aligned with NYC Reads and NYC Solves. Implement coherent, student-centered practices that support the whole child, increase engagement, and accelerate achievement for all learners, including ELLs and SWDs.
